Our Story

Poets create stories,

we create memories.

Made by locals, for locals. We’re proud of our heritage, our home, and our history.

As a local family, we know the local pub is more than just a place where people come to drink. It’s the place where you create some of your fondest memories, gather with friends, celebrate and commiserate. Your daughter gets married, you get a promotion, your first born is delivered—you go to your local. You lose a job, a loved one, or just have a bad week—you go to your local.

Pubs were never just somewhere to simply have a drink. They’re somewhere you should feel like you can go during the highs, the lows, and the mundanes to gather with your mates and make memories you’ll never forget.

When we set out to create Yeats’ Local, it was with just that in mind. Named after the area’s most famous historical figure, the late poet W.B Yeats, the pub gives a nod to history while giving customers a wink to the culture of today. We wanted to build something that felt comfortable and cosy, but also somewhere you felt excited to go to. Somewhere that no matter where you were from, as soon as you stepped through the doors, you were a local, too.

We hope you come to visit us, and enjoy the memories you’ll make. After all, everything we do is for The Love of The Local.
